AlMultaqa Chamber Orchestra makes its European debut with a powerful celebration of Sudan’s musical heritage and its deep connections across Africa and the Arab world. Rooted in the Sudanese pentatonic scale, the ensemble brings together acclaimed musicians from Iraq, Sudan, Mali, Nigeria and South Sudan, creating a sound that reflects centuries of cultural exchange across the Nile Valley and the wider Arab region.

Led by Maestro Ahmad Shamma, the orchestra presents a contemporary Afro-Arab sound where African rhythms meet Arab melodies. Traditional instruments including the oud, kora, balafon, adungu, drums and Afro-percussions come together in a unique musical language that is at once deeply Sudanese, pan-African and globally resonant.
