“Alevli Günler” (Blazing Days) tells the story of three lifelong friends — one a neighborhood butcher, another an accountant, and the third a professor of Turkish culture. When one of them is diagnosed with cancer, he expresses his wish to be cremated in accordance with his beliefs. However, this request brings them face-to-face with a rigid system that denies the right to a different way of dying. As they try to fulfill their friend’s final wish, they encounter absurd bureaucracies, cultural clashes, and comedic misadventures — exposing the contradictions of society and making us laugh at situations that are all too human, and often heartbreaking.
